Meet Coach Fernando Gomez, Founder of Arukah Health & Fitness LLC

Coach Fernando always dreamed of being a professional athlete. Though very talented at many sports, one thing was hindering him from moving on to compete in collegiate sports - his obesity. It was his sophomore year of high school where his high school baseball coach pulled him aside in the weight room one day and said to him, "Son, you are a talented player and a great team player, but unless you lose some weight and get serious about fitness, no college program is going to want to invest their resources on you." The flame was fanned. What he thought was just a path to college baseball became the journey of his life. After 4 years of playing collegiate baseball and graduating from the University of the Southwest with a Bachelor of Science (Criminal Justice, Minor in Psychology) Coach Fernando still on the health and fitness path was trying to secure a resource for healthy meat and dairy (before non-gmo and organic were very popular and easily available) for his family. That's when he joined Dr. Jordan Rubin's group Beyond Organic. Within Beyond Organic was Beyond Organic University which offered a Health Coaching Certification Program. Not knowing what Health Coaching even was, he took the course to enhance the health and well-being of his family but was not interested in a certification. It was a couple of years later when others kept asking for guidance and advice on how they and their famities can be healthy as his family was, is when he felt the passion to want to help and then realized what a Health Coach was. After completing the certification program from The Health Coach Institute Coach Fernando found joy in helping others succeed in their health journeys. But in his Health Coaching experiences he saw a big need for people to be personally trained. Especially for those trying to regain their mobility, rehab from an injury, and those trying to enhance their athletic abilities. That's when Coach Fernando connected with Ben Patrick and Athletic Truth Group. So as an ATG Certified Coach, Coach Fernado is now helping people in every area of life. He went from zero salads and zero pushups and pullups for 16 years of his life to being the healthiest and strongest version of himself in present time. And if he can do it, then you can too!     Being on the 90 day transformation was exquisite. Throughout the 3 months I wanted to get rid of the glaucoma that was approaching very soon, I wanted to lose fat, and also stop my reoccurring back and ankle pain.     Your training frequency will depend on your goals. We typically recommend training 2-3 times a week.
